An ApplicationWe skipped over two dozen chapters of Job and his 3 friends debating why Job was suffering so much. At first Job held out, but eventually he slipped and spoke arrogantly, and God was listening. We aren't told what Satan was doing or saying after chapter 2. Either way, God listens when we speak, too.

Connect the DotsNo one else in all of scripture got feedback from God quite like Job did, though we may compare Moses's and Elijah's interactions on Mt Sinai (which we will read about later). As JOB 38:3 & 40:7, sooner or later, we will all meet our Maker, and we will have to give an account, as Jesus said in MT 12:36-37, and then there's HEB 9:27.
